The Reason.

It’s always hard to lay awake
Thinking about what to give and take
And searching for the one,
The one to give the reason
To open up your heart
To believe in the start
The ending and the way to it
The battle and every single part

Look into my eyes
And take away this fear of mine
You know I’m not alright, I need the hope you give to me
It’s hard to see what’s right or wrong
When this dust is in between
Not everything’s said and done
So please don’t give up on me
Don’t give up on me

What am I supposed to be
Not knowing what to say to you
I’m empty and I can’t explain
What’s missing and who’s to blame
For everything I’m going through
These roads and ends don’t lead to you
I need a sign, I need a hint
To get away from here

Look into my eyes
And take away this fear of mine
You know I’m not alright, I need the hope you give to me
It’s hard to see what’s right or wrong
When this dust is in between
Not everything’s said and done
So please don’t give up on me
Don’t give up on me

I’m the dimming light
Where the sun stops to shine
But you always shine twice as bright

Look into my eyes
And take away this fear of mine
You know I’m not alright, I need the hope you give to me
It’s hard to see what’s right or wrong
When this dust is in between
Not everything’s said and done
So please don’t give up on me
Don’t give up on me
